Automatic Driveway Gates

Come and go.

Driveway gates with an opener, so you can come and go without getting out of the truck. Built to match your fence.

What makes a gate automatic

An automatic gate is a driveway gate fitted with an opener: a motor that swings the gate open and closed, run by a remote or keypad. The gate itself still needs to be built straight, light enough for the opener and hung on solid posts.

Things to plan for

  • Power at the gate: an outlet nearby, or a solar option for remote driveways.
  • Swing room: the gate needs clear space to open fully.
  • Safety: openers should reverse or stop if something is in the way.
  • Storms: plan how you'll open the gate if the power is out.

Gate styles we automate

Automatic gates can be built in the same materials as our driveway gates: wood, vinyl, ornamental aluminum and chain link.

Questions

Common questions.

Quick answers. For your property specifically, ask us in the quote form.

Start my quote
Can you add an opener to my existing gate?

Sometimes. It depends on the gate's weight, condition and posts. Send us photos with your quote request.

What happens when the power goes out?

Openers have a manual release so the gate can be opened by hand; some have battery backup. Ask about it when you request a quote.

Do automatic gates need a permit?

Rules vary by city and county, and electrical work may need its own permit. See our fence permits page.
