Fence Repair & Replacement

Straighten it out.

Leaning posts, storm-damaged panels, sagging gates, or a fence that's simply done. Tell us what's going on and we'll tell you whether it's a repair or time for a new fence.

Repair or replace?

If a few boards, pickets or panels are damaged and the posts are solid, a repair usually makes sense. If posts are rotted or leaning down the line, or the fence is old enough that repairs would never stop, replacement is usually the better use of your money.

In Florida, posts are almost always the deciding factor. Rot at ground level on wood posts and rust on old steel are the most common reasons a fence starts to lean.

Common fence problems we see

  • Leaning or loose posts after a storm or heavy rain.
  • Rotted wood boards and posts at ground level.
  • Gates that sag, drag or won't latch.
  • Rusted, bent or sagging chain link.
  • Storm damage from fallen limbs or wind.
  • Old fences that no longer meet HOA or pool rules.

Gate repair

A gate that drags or won't latch is usually a post or hinge problem. On pool fences, a gate that won't close and latch on its own needs fixing right away. See custom gates if it's time for a new one.

Replacing with something that lasts

Replacing a fence is a chance to pick a material that suits your property better. Many homeowners trade worn wood for vinyl, or rusty galvanized chain link for black vinyl-coated chain link. Our best fence for Florida guide compares the options.

Do you repair fences you didn't build?

Tell us about the fence and the problem in the quote form, with photos if you can. We'll let you know if it's a repair we can take on or whether replacement makes more sense.

My fence is leaning after a storm. Can it be saved?

If the posts are sound and just pushed over, often yes. If they're snapped or rotted, those sections need new posts.

Can you fix a sagging gate?

Usually. Sagging gates are typically a post, hinge or bracing problem.
